Sales of Škoda Felicia had just taken off in Sweden and the 30th of May 1996 invited Malmö Skoda dealer Claes Bjorkman in early-stage and "pending" customers to an information meeting. We were 35 in which heeded the call, and the evening was formed Skoda Club.Motor clubs are not uncommon, but we are probably rightones to start a club with a new model, low cost of ill repute. This loss of reputation was probably due to a Skoda in the early 70's wrapped in a demonstration run. The Škoda Favorit ,the precursor to Felicia, won numerous rallies in its class, it was not many people knew about. In addition to our regular outings with little orientation run, we have had visits and information from the dealership and Hans Folkesson, who previously worked in the Czech Republic as a development manager with Felicia.
